In Final Fantasy 14, you can have a fat cat minion that follows you around getting even fatter off the remnants of whatever beasties you slay, according to the in-game lore. Its chubby cheeks and wobbly body proved to be particularly adorable, so Square Enix wisely decided to make it a premium mount back in 2019. Although priced at a whopping $24 USD, the Fatter Cat mount is widely regarded as one of the best things you can spend real money on in Final Fantasy 14. Some even consider it the best mount in the game.

Lasciva, a peluchière (plushy) maker living in Czechia, likely agrees with that sentiment. She recently unveiled her custom-made, life-size Fatter Cat plushy that’s so large that it’s basically a beanbag chair.

Working on this project at least since April, Lasciva confirmed that the Fatter Cat plush is "the biggest plush I ever made." The paper pattern alone took 11 hours to print and assemble and then another four hours to cut. The nose, tail, cheeks, and ears all contain a full kilogram (2.2 pounds) of stuffing, while the body contains 600 liters (158.5 gallons) of polystyrene beads "topped up with a bit of stuffing."

Despite this, the whole plushie still weighs under 10 kg, and has been confirmed to be "very comfy."

Lasciva does have an online store that offers a significant number of amazing Pokemon plushies, but there's no listing for this wildly obese cat and she's not currently taking custom orders. A shame, since we can see this design really taking off with fat cat lovers around the world, regardless of whether they play Final Fantasy 14 or not.

In other FF14 news, Japanese players have taken to calling the new minion "Erecthonius" thanks to a rather unfortunate typo. This has led to a ton of lewd jokes from Japanese players that still land even after translation.
